Boy Better Know

Boy Better Know is an English grime group and record label. The group was founded in North London by Jme alongside his brother Skepta in 2005 as an independent record label and a means to publish their music. The resulting crew as well as the label expanded to welcome more members including fellow north London MCs Frisco, Shorty and Solo 45 as well as Jammer from east London, Wiley has also had an on-off affiliation with the group.
==History==
In the early noughties Meridian Crew - consisting of MCs including President T, Skepta, Jme, Big H, Bossman Birdie and Paper Pabs - regularly appeared on pirate radio stations including Heat FM and later on Déjà Vu FM. In 2005 Meridian Crew dissolved after affiliates of the crew were convicted on attempted murder charges.〔http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4248151.stm〕〔https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VepEIN9Y8gw〕 After this event Jme founded BBK alongside his brother Skepta while other Meridian members reformed as Bloodline Family.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Niet compatibele browser )〕〔Adabra, Michelle (25 August 2005). In its early period "Boy Better Know" was well known for its line of eponymous T-shirts. The crew also had a regular show on Rinse FM with DJ Maximum.〔http://rinse.fm/artists/maximum/〕 Jme's debut album ''Famous?'' was released on the label in 2008. "Too Many Man", the first single from the album, was released on 25 May 2009. The song is also featured on the Wiley and Skepta albums, ''Race Against Time'' and ''Microphone Champion'', respectively. The song was written because of Skepta's annoyance over 'the lack of women in clubs'. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 6 June 2009 at #97, reaching #79 the next week. The second single from the album ''V.I.P'', titled "Goin' In", was released for download on iTunes on 13 December 2009.
Jme's second studio album, ''Blam'', was released 4 October 2010. Three singles from this album were released; "Over Me", "Sidetracked", which features Wiley, and "CD Is Dead" featuring UK grime artist Tempa T.
In 2008, Boy Better Know pioneered a short-lived dance fad called the "Rolex Sweep" which accompanied the song of the same name by Skepta.
They have also featured on songs by other notable UK artists, such as Chipmunk, Tinie Tempah and the remix of "Stay" by Jay Sean. They have also remixed N-Dubz's song "Na Na (Boy Better Know!)".
In November 2011 Boy Better Know Mobile was established, a 3G network which leases network bandwidth from Hutchinson 3G.〔"(Boy Better Know launch pay as you go mobile network )", The Wire (magazine).〕 This venture was ended in mid-2013.
In November 2012 they performed at Red bull culture clash and won. They performed again there in October 2014 and lost to Rebel Sound. In 2015, Drake got "bbk" tattooed on his shoulder as a homage to the grime crew.〔http://www.nme.com/news/drake/89033〕
